Packaged Product X-Ray - Eagle Pack Range
The Smiths Detection EagleTM X-ray systems are able to inspect packaged products for correct weight, metal, other foreign objects, size and shape simultaneously and online. Packages containing a contaminant or defect are automatically rejected from the line. These systems are ideal for detecting small stainless steel contaminants in food products within aluminium foil or heavy metalised film packaging. Metal Tin & Glass Container X-Ray - Eagle Tall & Eagle Quad View
Smiths Detection's rigid container inspection systems, the Eagle Tall and the Eagle Quad View, make the difficult task of inspecting rigid containers (bottles, jars, tin cans etc.) for foreign contaminants -- even glass in glass containers -- possible. The Eagle Tall, our single-view system, has recently undergone a redesign to allow for installation over a customer's existing conveyor line, eliminating the need for costly line modifications formerly required to install the system. The recent modifications also allow easy access for cleaning and routine maintenance. Smiths Detection's newest system, the Eagle Quad View, inspects glass jars using four separate views to ensure complete inspection of the container even in the bottom of the jar (or the crown area).

The Smiths Detection EagleTM Fat Analysis systems analyze up to a 60lb (28kg) boxes or bulk (120US tons/hour) for chemical lean (CL) value within a 1% margin of error. Unlike traditional sampling methods, the Smiths Detection DEXA (dual energy x-ray) technology analyzes 100% of the throughput. Cartons can also be tracked by bar code for easy batching and traceability. In addition to the fat analysis, the FA system check weighs and uses the SimulTask software to inspect for contaminants such as: metal, glass, stone bone and wire. The Smiths Detection product Inspection line is not affected by freeze/thaw plant conditions, box moisture, metal foil or meat conductivity making the Eagle FA a perfect addition to your production line.
